Paint small styrafoam balls (used school projects)from a hobby store and with some tempura paints. Let them paint the balls, with hands or brush and decorate with glitter while paint is wet. Then get a needle and thread. Thread the needle and one by one drive the needle through the center of ball to make a string of all the balls and decorate on tree or wherever you want to put it.
Cut snowflakes from thick cardstock paper and glitter them.
Get an cloth stocking from a craft store ($3.00 ea or so) and markers, fast dry glue, puff balls, and stickers for them to decorate their own stockings. (for 4 kids it will cost about $30-$40.
Buy construction paper and fold 7 pieces in half. Staple or glue the stack so you have a 14 page book. Cover page they can put pictures of Christmas things like lights, trees, santa, elves, presents, or snow. Whatever! The back of first page is for you to put ‘by: joe (kids name) and date done. The next page is 1 (including front and back of cover page it is technically 3), the back of 1 is page 2, and so on till the end at page 12 with . (12 half pages inside covered by outside paper 7th outside page). The 13th page (inside of last page) will say ‘The End’ or ‘Merry Christmas and have a hand print of kiss mark or picture of kid. The very back outside cover will be for coloring or a Santa list or a favorite food list or whatever.
The inside pages, front and back pages1-12 (3-16)will be their own version of the 12 days of Christmas. ‘The first day of Christmas mommy gave to me some candy with some ice cream’ and they can draw or decorate and you write the words for them if they can’t.
