Painting ornaments for the xmas tree is always fun. you could also bake cookies, you cut them into shapes like snowmen, santa, etc. and the kids decorate them with sprinkles and all that fun stuff. =D

what about christmas crackers? with empty toilet rolls and crepe paper? they can then make up their own jokes etc.

Snowflakes:
To make snowflakes,cut out paper circles and cut shapes into it and then when u open it out it will be pretty.
Christmas cards
Paper chains
Tissue paper decorations
Tree decorations- Make circles with pictures on an hole punch them and put string throught the hole.
Christmas trees- Card cut outs

I always liked decorating pine cones with glitter! Hot glue a ribbon on them and make them into ornaments.

A wonderful craft that is easy and fun to make are candy trains or sleighs. They are very cute, and you can make a whole train or just a bunch of the main car. An ideas on how to make it: http://www.bettycrocker.com/recipes/Recipe.aspx?recipeId=36362

or we use
life savers tube
pack of stick gum
cream savers
hersheys kisses
recess cups (the small ones)
mint paddies

1. Hot glue the life savers tube on the pack of gum.
2. Then glue 2 cream savers on each side of one end of the pack of gum, so about half of the cream saver is glued on. Do the same with the mints on the back.
3. Glue a recces on top of the lifesavers at the end on the side with the mints.
4. Glue a kiss on the side with the cream savers.
Walaa, a beautiful candy train!

Hmmm … you know what — get a cardboard box — cut out various shapes (like Circles) .. .and cover with Tin Foil (baking Aluminum Foil). When you have this (and punch through for a yarn hanger) .. let the Boys go and DECORATE the Foil themselves with some of those Wonderful Colors of Sharpie Markers!

Not only is this crafty … but most parents will appreciate and cherish these special ornaments that their children make! I know that I STILL have them preserved in my Christmas Ornament Boxes … and although my Young Adult Children are EMBARASSED that they exist — I know that sometime … in the future … they will want to have them for sure in memory of the family life of their childhood — with their Long Term Single Mom!

LIFE. Easy to do … just a couple of packages of those Different Color Sharpie Markers, a roll of Aluminum Foil, and some Cardboard and one small yarn bale. THAT is all you need for this craft project!
